This was a fast paced match played in almost mid summer
conditions. Thrapston started strong and were rewarded
after 10 minutes with a goal, followed four minutes later
with another, both scored by Jack P. Kettering fought
back and scored two goals in quick succession to even things
up. Just before half time, Jack P scored a fantastic
goal to gain his hatrick and Thrapston finished the half
3-2 up, thanks in part to some good goalkeeping from Christopher. In
the second half Kettering hit back with a quick goal, but
Thrapston took the lead again with a goal from Kyle. The
next ten minutes were frenetic with some great defending
from Ryan and Harry and some brave goalkeeping from Alex. Breaden
and Jack R were strong in defense and attack but despite
a very good team effort, Kettering came back with three goals
to win the match. A really exciting game played in
good spirits against a very well organized and skilful side,
Thrapston have every reason to feel proud of this result.
